Three centuries ago, in a windswept and war-ravaged corner of Eastern Europe, a circus illusionist lifts the hearts of children with his mesmerising and extraordinarily life-like apparitions. But his son falls utterly in love with the most beautiful apparition of them all, tragically unaware that it is not as real as it seems.

With its Slavonic-style score and clashing larger-than-life characters, Professor Utopia is a lavish musical fantasy, offering countless choreographic opportunities for dance to depict the illusionary elements of the story.
